The Future of Money Design Award

The Future of Money Design Award was founded in 2009 and created to develop links between the financial industry and creative practitioners.

This year’s FOM awards challenge creative thinkers and makers (of all types) to speculate and create a vision of a National Wealth Service.

This is a huge task, so you don’t only need to look at the bigger picture, you could focus on a small core aspect within traditional financial services – like digital access or literacy, education in financial principles, and coping/managing debt. Or proposing new services that increase meritocratic wealth opportunities or even encourage philanthropy. You could propose using a technological tool to provide a solution. Or envisage a shift in cultural values that changes the impetus that drives wealth creation.

FIRST PHASE – Initial Idea

Please submit an overview of your ‘National Wealth Service’ concept (ideally with illustrations) as a PDF. Maximum 3 pages communicating the concept and examples of previous work (website or PDF).

Deadline for submission 28th March 2024

Send entries to enter@futuremoneyaward.com

SECOND PHASE – Project Development

All submissions will be reviewed and three finalists will be selected to progress to the final phase. We'll give each of the three finalists £500 to develop their idea and produce a short video.

Please do not enter if you believe you can monetise your concept, we are looking for insights and inspiring ideas, not patentable tech

FINAL PHASE – Award ceremony and announcement of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Finalists will need to be able to present their videos and concepts for judging into 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at Moneyub’s Annual Client Conference in London on Wednesday 15th May 2024 (at The Museum of London in Barbican).

The designs and more broadly a celebration of the National Wealth Service will be very much enjoyed by this group of companies in attendance. It is time to shine for you as designers and artists.
