First Live Session of the “Art Journalism: Reflecting Culture and Art in the Media” Series
In alignment with its media mission in the field of visual arts, Online Gallery News Agency is launching a series of live, specialized discussions titled “Art Journalism: Reflecting Culture and Art in the Media” to explore the state of art journalism in Iran.
In these sessions, the editorial leaders of cultural and art magazines, critics, journalists, professors, and artists will engage in conversations about the challenges, opportunities, and necessities of art journalism in the country.
The first live session of this series will take place on Monday, May 6, 2025, at 18:00 Iran Standard Time (UTC+3:30). This event will be streamed via the Online Gallery Instagram page. Guests for this session include Mohammad Hassan Hamedi, editor-in-chief of Tandis magazine, and Iman Afsarian, editor-in-chief of herfeh-honarmand magazine. They will discuss the state of art media in Iran and how culture and art are reflected in both print and online media.
The session will be hosted and moderated by Fatemeh Abdollazadeh, editor-in-chief of Gallery online News Agency.
The aim of these discussions is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas among media and art professionals, analyze the current situation, address the shortcomings in the field, and explore the need for education in art journalism.
