Designboom_ planned for a site in the sisangan province of iran, the sisangan villa by MADO architects envisions a bold, geometric residence somewhere between the sea and the forest. the project is designed with privacy as the main element of the scheme, with the structure and surrounding vernacular architecture also playing a vital role.

to provide residents with a feeling of privacy, a square form as a construction boundary has been shaped by the architects. by detaching the squares sides from its intersection and rotating them, natural light and the surrounding nature are brought into the project, in addition to forming the interior space of the villa. in this way, a connection between the indoor and outdoor environment is created and the built form is extended into the landscape.

additionally, the east-west axis enclosure is also provided by the sloping walls. by rotating the faces in z axis, oblique walls that have a structural role, define the roof of the project. as a result, a dialogue between the new intervention and the architectural language of the region accordingly occurs.
